Iron Ore export prices from Indian exporters remain stable for last few days. Cargo of 63.5/63 being offered at $183/mt though no deals were heard concluded.
Supply of Iron ore fines have been low from Indian exporters as exports from Karnataka has not started, Goa is closed due to monsoons. FIMI says that exports of Iron ore from India likley to touch 8 Yrs low.
Spot prices for Indian iron ore exports to China rose by $4-5/tonne over the past week owing to sustained Chinese buying interest. Market participants expect prices to hold firm for at least another week or two, chiefly supported by low availability of ore stocks in India.
