Offers
for ferrous scrap to India remain unchanged from last week as suppliers are
keen to close more deals in the days to come. Offer for HMS scrap steadied at
$430-440/MT and Shredded scrap was quoted at $450-460/MT CFR Nhava Sheva
Mumbai.
Recent
deals of imported scrap in India include 2 deals of mixed containerized scrap
in Mumbai.
According
to a market source, “bulk shipments of 16 containers of mixed HMS 1&2
(80:20) are likely to reach at the port this week with the average price of US$
425/MT CFR Mumbai. While, a Middle East supplier has sold a cargo of HMS
(80:20) material at US$ 430/MT CFR Mumbai to be delivered this week.”
“Sentiments in the market are improving a bit.
Inquiries have improved and suppliers will keep their offers at the same level
to seal more deals”, said an importer based in Mumbai.
