A private steel major has reportedly booked 20,000 t of HRCs (S275) for exports to Europe earlier this week for end-May or early-June delivery, SteelMint learnt from reliable sources. The deal was concluded at $1,150/t CFR Italy, down from the assessment of $1,200-1,250/t CFR earlier this week. Offers from India have come under pressure because of competitive offers from other countries like China and lower bids from EU amidst full credit lines.
