As per the Finance Ministry notification issued late on Friday, Indian government has reintroduced import duty of 2.5% and 5% on coking coal and coke respectively that was annulled in May-end this year. However, in a good news for steel sector, the export duty on finished steel, iron ore, and pellets have been removed, that was announced same time in May.
