As reported by SteelMint on 5 Apr’16, five Indian steel majors including JSW Steel, SAIL, Tata Steel, JSPL and Essar Steel have filed a petition with DG Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties (DGAD) for imposition of anti-dumping duty on hot rolled products.
DGAD has accepted their petition and has initiated their investigation on 11 Apr’ 16, concerning imports of “Hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel in coils of a width upto 2100mm and thickness upto 25mm and Hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel not in coils (commonly known as sheets and plates) of a width upto 4950mm and thickness upto 150mm”, originating in or exported from China PR, Japan, Russia, Korea RP, Brazil and Indonesia.
The exporters in subject countries are requested to file all the relevant information in the form and manner prescribed within 40 days from the date of investigation initiation.
Also any other interested party who wants to make submission relevant to the investigation can provide the information to DGAD in the prescribed manner within 40 days of investigation initiation.
