On 3 Aug’16, DGAD (Director General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties) has issued a notification recommending provisional anti-dumping duty on CRC of alloy and non alloy steel falling under HS code 7209, 7211, 7225, and 7226 originating in or exported from China PR, Japan, Korea RP, and Ukraine-reg.
On 17 Aug’16, the ministry of Commerce has given its final approval on the same thus, making anti-dumping duty effective from 17 Aug’16.
As per the notification issued, CRC imports from the above mentioned country coming on and after 17 Aug’16 will be subject to anti-dumping duty and the duty is valid for period of six months from the date of notification.
The anti-dumping duty is calculated as the difference between NIP (Non-Injurious Price) and imported price (CIF+ Customs duty). The NIP decided for CRC is USD 594/MT.
