Indian Finish long steel gross production was registered at 3.88 MnT in Oct’19, down by 4.19% on monthly basis as against 4.05 MnT in Sep’19.
While on yearly comparison, during the first ten months of CY’19 (Jan-Oct), the country’s finish long steel production stood at 42.13 MnT which increased by 5.5% against 39.93 MnT in the same duration of preceding year.
Top Finish Long Steel Producers (Company wise)
— Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) emerged as top producer of finish long steel and on monthly basis production is registered at 0.49 MnT in Oct’19. Production volumes nearly doubled against 0.23 MnT in Sep’19.
On yearly comparison, their production was recorded at 4.04 MnT in first 10 months of CY’19 (Jan-Oct), up by 5.75% from 3.82 MnT in the same duration of previous year.
— Jindal Steel & Power Limited(JSPL) produced 0.27 MnT in Oct’19 (+22.3%) as compared to 0.22 MnT in Sep’19 and on Y-o-Y basis production is 2.06 MnT during Jan-Oct in CY’19, surged by 81% as compared to 1.14 MnT in the same duration of CY’18.
–TATA Steel production of finish long steel is 0.26 MnT in Oct’19 (+18.18%) against 0.22 MnT in Sep’19. On yearly basis company’s production from Jan-Oct CY’19 is 2.57 MnT, inched down by 1.15% against 2.60 MnT in same duration of last year.
— JSW finish long steel production was 0.24 MnT in Oct’19 surged by 26.3% as against 0.19 MnT in Sep’19. In line, on yearly basis company’s production increased by 31.3% to 2.73 MnT in Jan-Oct period of CY’19 against 2.08 MnT in same period of last year.
–Vizag Steel is also known as (RINL – Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd.) registered production of 0.23 MnT in Oct’19 down by 8% compared to 0.25 MnT in Sep’19 and on yearly basis i:e; Jan-Oct of CY’19 company’s production down by 9.4% to 3.18 MnT in Jan-Oct CY’19 than the 3.51 MnT in Jan-Oct CY’18.
— In context to the medium/small scale mills, the production of finish long steel is registered at 2.39 MnT in Oct’19, down by 19.25% as compared to 2.96 MnT in Sep’19. Whereas on yearly basis Jan-Oct of CY’19 production figures marginal up by 2.83% to 27.55 MnT against 26.79 MnT in Jan-Oct CY’18.
