The total quantity of ferro manganese exported from India in month of Jul’16 was 8449 MT and in the month Aug’16 was 8,432 MT.
SteelMint assessed in Aug’16 export volumes for ferro manganese was almost unchanged from Jul’16.
Total Indian ferro manganese export to Pakistan was 571 MT in Jul’16, which increased to 1,096 MT in Aug’16. Similarly, to Indonesia a total quantity of 1,195 MT was exported in Ju6’16, which rose in Aug’16 to 1,567 MT.
On the other hand, in Jul’16 total export to U.A.E was 1,882 MT which decreased in Aug’16 to 1,513 MT.
Currently, there are no offers for Indian-origin ferro manganese in the export market as Indian producers are not price competitive at the moment. There is good demand for South African ferro manganese in the international market as their offers are lower in comparison to Indian offers.

Domestic Ferro Manganese Prices Surges on High Ore Prices
Ferro manganese producers increased their offers in the domestic market as prices of imported ore as well as domestically procured manganese ore rose extensively. Currently ferro manganese 70% min is being offered at INR 52,000/MT for both Durgapur and Raipur. Market participants are anticipating the ferro manganese market will likely be firm or increase in the coming weeks.
