India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market saw mixed price trends as offers floated by the mills varied in the range of INR 100-500/tonne (t) d-o-d on 17 March, 2023.
Sponge iron prices fluctuated by INR 100-200/t. Prices rose in Ramgarh by INR 200/t.
Billet prices varied in the range of INR 100-500/t. Prices fell by INR 500/t in the Hyderabad market today.
Rebar (Fe 500) offers increased in the range of INR 100-300/t. Prices increased in Raigarh by INR 300/t.
The semi-finished steel market witnessed a slight rise in offers. Price hike was seen in the finished steel segment, too, across regions. Trades were moderate throughout the day as buyers remained cautious about bulk bookings.
