India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market noticed mixed price trends and offers fluctuated in the range of INR 50-450/tonne (t) d-o-d on 4 October, 2022.
Sponge iron offers dropped by INR 50-100/t. Moreover, billets offers fluctuated in the range of INR 50-450/t. A major price hike of INR 450/t was seen in Mandi ,Gobindgarh market.
Also, rebars (Fe 500) prices varied in the range of INR 100-400/t across the regions. In addition, a price fall of INR 400/t was seen in the Muzaffarnagar market.
Trading remained moderate in western and southern parts, while it was active in central India as sufficient trades were recorded for semis and finished steel products through the Raipur-based plants. In line with this, eastern region participants are hoping that trades will resume in full swing in the next couple of days.
