India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed price trends, while offers floated by the mills varied in the range INR 50-900/tonne d-o-d on 29 June, 2022.
Sponge iron and billet prices fluctuated in the range of INR 50-900/t. Prices fell by INR 900/t in Mandi Gobindgarh’s billet market.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers fluctuated in the range of INR 100-500/t across regions. Prices inched up in the Hyderabad market by INR 500/t.
Overall, the market saw a decline in semi-finished steel prices in most regions.
Sellers lowered offers due to limited buying in the spot market. After active buying over the last few days, demand is supposed to have softened a bit. This resulted in a slight fall in offers across major locations, sources informed SteelMint.
