India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed price trends while offers floated by the mills fluctuated in the range of INR 100-500/tonne (t) d-o-d on 27 Mar’23.
Sponge iron prices fluctuated by INR 100-300/t. Prices rose by INR 200/t in the Hyderabad market. However, a price decreased of INR 300/t was seen in Jharsugda , Raigarh and Raipur market.
Billet prices increased in the range of INR 100-300/t. Prices rose by INR 300/t in Mumbai and Mandi, Gobindgarh today.
In addition, rebar (Fe 500) offers rose in the range of INR 100-500/t. Prices remained elevated in Delhi, rising by INR 500/t d-o-d.
Overall, the semi-finished steel market witnessed a marginal increase in offers today even as prices of finished steel rose across regions. Trade remained moderate as buyers were cautious about bulk bookings.
