India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed positive price trends, while offers floated by the mills surged up to INR 800/tonne (t), d-o-d, on 27 July, 2022.
Sponge iron prices rose in the range of INR 50-600/t. Prices increased in the Raipur sponge iron market by INR 600/t.
Billet prices spurted in the range of INR 300-800/t. Prices witnessed a hike of INR 800/t in Mandi Gobindgarh’s billet market.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers rose in the range of INR 300-500/t across regions. Prices rose in the Durgapur market by INR 500/t.
The semi-finished market saw an uptrend in prices, especially in northern region, while finished long steel demand witnessed a positive trend today. As some regions are witnessing raw material crisis, offers and prices remained strong with improvement in demand.
