India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed price trends, while offers across mills varied in the range INR 50- 700/tonne d-o-d on 2 Jun’22.
Sponge iron and billet prices surged in the range of INR 50-700/t following a increase of INR 700/t seen in Durgapur’s sponge iron market.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers varied in the range of INR 100-500/t across regions. Prices fell in the Chennai and Hyderabad markets by INR 500/t.
The market observed a slight improvement in semi-finished steel offers and spot trades in some regions, while enquiries for finished long products remained subdued, SteelMint Notes.
