India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market continued to witness dull trading activities on 11 Feb’22. Offers from the mid-sized mills declined futher by up to INR 500/tonne (t) ($7/t) d-o-d.

Sponge iron and billets prices dropped by INR 50-500/t following a major drop seen in billet prices in Jalna and Durgapur.

Rebar (Fe 500) offers fell in the range of INR 100-500/t in many regions across the country. The market remained dull throughout the day due to low demand, fuelling buyers’ hopes that prices may correct further in the coming days.
