India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market saw dull response at prevailing offers. Prices decreased by INR 400/tonne, d-o-d on 10 January, 2023.
Sponge iron offers dropped by INR 100-300/t. The highest decline was seen in the Durgapur and Raipur sponge iron market.
Meanwhile, billets prices fell in the range of INR 100-300/t across regions with the maximum fall seen in Jalna billet market.
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers edged down by INR 100-400/t across regions. The highest drop of INR 400/t was seen in Delhi, Durgapur, Jalna and Bangalore.
Prices of semi-finished steel fell during the first half today, however, later on offers increased slightly, especially in the central and eastern regions, enquiries too improved in finished long segment.
