Indian Domestic Pellet Trade Log – Week 43, 2019

Durgapur pellet assessment inch up: In Durgapur SteelMint’s reference, pellet price has picked marginally to INR 5,400-5,500/MT (ex-Durgapur, GST extra), against INR 5,300-5,400/MT a week ago.

P-DRI prices in Durgapur are currently seen increased marginally at INR 15,800/MT (Ex-plant) as compared to 15,700/MT (Ex-plant) last week. One of the pellet makers from Durgapur concluded 2,000 MT pellet deal yesterday at INR 5,500/MT (Ex-plant).

Decent deals reported in Raipur pellet market-: Raipur (central India) pellet prices assessed at INR 5,800/MT this week. Central India based pellet makers kept pellet offers stable at INR 5,800/MT amid decent transactions reported this week assessment. Pellet deals for around 15,000-20,000 MT reported from Raipur market at INR 5,800/MT(Ex-plant)

P-DRI assessment decreased by INR 300/MT W-o-W to INR 15,500/MT (Ex-Raipur) against INR 15,800/MT last week.

Southern India pellet offers rangebound-: Southern India (Bellary) based pellet makers stable to INR 6,200-6,300/MT (ex-Bellary) in line with last week’s offers. Active bookings of over 10,000 MT pellets reported by South India based pellet makers this week at around INR 6,200-6,300/MT (Ex-Bellary).

P-DRI prices in Bellary increased W-o-W to INR 16,100/MT as against INR 15,700/MT last week.

Indian pellet trade updates:

–Jajpur based pellet maker-BRPL is offering pellets to Kalinganagar based units at INR 5,985/MT ex-works.

— Raigarh based pellet makers are offering pellets at INR 5,600/MT (Ex-plant) and one of the major pellet makers concluded 4,000-5,000 MT pellets at the INR 5,600/MT yesterday.
