According to SteelMint’s conversation with market sources, Central India (Raipur) pellet price assessment has decreased significantly by INR 500-600/MT to INR 9,200/MT against the last assessment in the beginning of this week which was INR 9,700-9,800/MT (basic, GST extra).
Last week Raipur pellets prices hit 6 years high towards the beginning of last week at INR 10,000/MT (basic, GST extra). Trade sources expect a further decline in offers in coming days, as buying interest is still low at current offers.
Central India steel mills had booked pellets from Jamshedpur as offers were competitive and coming around INR 9,100-9,300/MT (landed to Raipur).
Raipur P-DRI prices have come down by INR 300/MT to INR 24,600-24,800/MT (basic) in a week’s time.
Jharsuguda based Pellet maker- Shyam MetaliKs & Energy also reduced offers by INR 300/MT to INR 8,700/MT (basic) as against INR 9,000/MT beginning of this week.
