Indian domestic melting scrap prices today increased by INR 100-500/t d-o-d owing to improved prices in substitute products (sponge iron) along with moderate trades in finished steel market. Current trade reference price is registered at INR 23,900/t in both Jalna & Chennai (DAP). Near term prices may remain range-bound for near term, SteelMint learnt from trade participants.
