Indian Billet prices inch up by Rs. 200-300/t; sustainability questioned

Indian Billet
prices edged up by Rs. 200-300/MT  supported
by rising steel prices & improved demand from Northern India. Power cuts in
Hyderabad also resulted in an increase in prices.

Steelmint analyses
that Indian Billet prices might not sustain, but correct marginally as supply
will increase after elections get over in U.P.

Billet prices in
Raipur are hovering around Rs. 33,600/MT with an increase of Rs. 500/MT and
Rourkela around Rs. 32,500/MT. Durgapur prices are trading at Rs 37,500/MT (Incld
All). Prices for Hyderabad quoted at Rs. 35,500/MT and Raigarh at Rs. 33,000/MT,
higher by Rs. 200/MT from previous trade.
