Billet prices have improved overall and Hyderabad shows the
maximum increase in prices.
“Raipur Billet opened high by Rs 200/MT at Rs 34,100/MT
(Basic price). Demand is good on account of decent buying in finished products.
Prices are expected to move up further by Rs 200-300/MT around late evening,” said a Raipur based trader.
“Kolkata and Durgapur
Billet demand is decent and prices are being quoted at Rs 38,700/MT and Rs
39,000/MT respectively, up by Rs 100/MT on improved demand for finished products,” quoted a trader from the city.
“Ahmadabad demand for Billet is weak and it is being offered
at Rs 36,200/MT (Basic price) with Rs 100/MT plus,” remarked a trader in Ahmadabad.
“Hyderabad Billet prices have jumped by Rs 1,100/MT at Rs
34,500/MT (Basic price). Demand has improved and buying has started at lower
levels as demand for finished is stable. Demand is expected to gain further. Markets are expected to improve by around Rs 500/MT in two to three
days,” a manufacturer from the city reported SteelMint.
Billet demand has improved due to growing trading volumes in finished products.
