Billet prices have gone up by Rs. 200-500/MT in most of the
places. Market has shown a mixed sentiment as Traders and Manufacturers in
Raipur and Jalna anticipate that prices might not rise up on account of weak
demand in finished goods while Brokers and Traders of Raigarh and Rourkela
expect prices to rise further due to hike in steel prices by primary steel
producers. Market players are looking forward to the upcoming budget for
further change in market conditions.
Billet prices for Raipur is trading at Rs. 34,500/MT with no
change but Rourkela Billet prices saw a jump of Rs. 300/MT from previous trade and
is trading at Rs. 33,500-600/MT. Billet trading prices for Raigarh increased by Rs. 500/MT and is hovering around Rs.
34,000/MT while that of Jalna has shown an uptrend by Rs. 200/MT and is
trading at Rs. 34,700/MT.
