Indian Billet offers were range bound this week; looks to rise slightly further

The first week of January proved to be better as buying interest was low in the current week.

Manufacturers of Billet based in Chhattisgarh lowered prices by Rs 200/MT.

Whereas, offers at Mandi, Goa and Jaipur dropped slightly by Rs 100/MT and were stable in Durgapur, Mumbai and South India.

At a couple of locations i.e. Jalna and Kandla, offers moved up by Rs 400/MT and Rs 500/MT respectively.

In the week ahead, traders are of the view that prices should increase by Rs 200/MT on improvement in demand.
