Indian induction furnace grade billets are gaining popularity in South East Asian market owing to absence of Chinese billets. We have collated data for billet exports from Kandla and Mundra port (India’s West Coast) for the month of October 2017, which has showed some significant growth in terms of volumes. Indian billet exports are likely to cross 2 million tonnes in 2017, majority of which is to Nepal through (rail/road).
