The Indian Anthracite Coal market has continued to be in a grim atmosphere, with sluggish demand.
Buyers in the country have almost stopped importing the fuel as they preferred alternate fuels.
The latest import offer for Anthracite Coal is assessed at USD 133/MT CFR India.

In an international round up, demand for the coal is rising in the Ukraine region as power plants are replenishing the dwindling stocks. According to the inputs received, Anthracite Coal stocks at thermal plants there have reduced to around 1.5 MnT.
IMPORTS
During the 1-23Feb’17 periods, a meager quantity of 35,900 MT of Anthracite Coal was imported into India, data compiled by CoalMint Research shows.
The importers were: Jindal Steel and Power Limited and Indian Metal and Ferro Alloys.
