The Anthracite Coal market in India has continued to remain lackluster, without a slightest hint of the market undergoing any improvement in the near term. In contrast, strong demand has prevailed in the international regions as power plants were stocking the coal to cater to the peak demand during the winter season. Also, consumption of the coal by the fertilizer industry in China has increased, pushing the prices upwards.
Import offer has undergone slight decrement than that in the week last. According to a reputed importer, the latest import offer is at around USD 133/MT CFR India.
