The Anthracite Coal market in India has undergone no improvement, with demand continuing to remain low.
The latest import offer for Anthracite Coal is assessed at USD 120/MT CFR India, which is up from the week-ago rate.

In an international round-up, Anthracite Coal reserves in South Korea are learnt to have dropped to around 899 ‘000MT, which is about halve of the nation’s demand. Clearly, imports of the coal in the Korean nation will go up in the coming days.
IMPORTS
It is needless to mention that there has been almost no affinity for Anthracite Coal imports among Indian buyers. During the 1-22Mar’17 period, only 114,100 MT of Anthracite Coal was imported into India, data collected by CoalMint Research shows.
The importers were: Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Essar Steel and JSW.
