India’s imports of zinc scrap dropped to 5,661 t in Apr’24, down by 7% m-o-m as compared to 6,099 t in Mar’24. Concurrently, there was a 5% rise in imports on a y-o-y basis from 5,397 t in Apr’23. India’s primary source of zinc scrap majorly came from the US with 553 t, followed by 347 t from the UAE. Germany has a huge decrease of 64% from 766 t in Mar’24 to 274 t in Apr’24.
