India: Zinc prices continue to rise even as lead keeps stable

  • Prices of zinc ingots happened to rise continuously this week as domestic zinc prices trended at around INR 3,74,000/t ($4,968/t) today on high demand, SteelMint learnt from sources.
  • The lockdown in China has trigerred the rise in zinc prices, as dependency has increased in the Indian market.
  • Primary and secondary lead prices remain largely stable even as a short dip in lead was seen in MCX.
