Trade discounts for wire rod remain high at around INR 1,500-1,800/t on 31 Jan’22 offered by the resellers in Raipur, central India. However, the base offer has been kept stable by the manufacturers at INR 53,200/t exw. Fall in semi-finished steel prices in key markets created a disparity between bids and offers among traders which led to the rise in trade discounts in the spot market, SteelMint learnt from sources.
