Trade discounts in the steel wire rod market in Raipur remained high, hovering at INR 2,000-2,200/t on 4 Jan’22, while the base offer was kept stable by manufacturers at INR 48,000/t exw. A sharp fall in billet prices in the spot market widened the trade discount for wire rod, while moderate enquiries were observed by market participants on lowered prices.
