Raipur-based steel wire rod manufacturers saw trades at lower prices in the spot market today. In the last few days, high fluctuations in semi-finished steel prices generated uncertainty in the market and buyers are cautious about procuring material at higher prices. Manufacturers have thus consistently reduced prices as per availability of material and selling pressure faced by them. Today, prices stood at INR 58,500-59,000/t exw.
