Domestic steel wire rod manufacturers in Raipur increased prices today by INR 700/t to INR 61,700/t exw d-o-d, with trade discounts of INR 500/t. However, lesser buying enquiries in prevailing offers which force the resellers to offer attractive trade discounts which hover around INR 1,500/t. Currently conversion spread( margins) from steel billet to wire rod is over INR 4,000/t, SteelMint learnt.
