With demand getting stiff for the finished steel, it seems there is no relief for the traders of wire rod. However, current demand for the product (Wire Rod) is not impressive.
Price of 5.5mm wire rod at Raipur is down by Rs 200/MT and is being quoted at around Rs 37,900/MT. In Durgapur too, the price of 5.5mm wire rod is Rs 37,100/MT.
“Mostly demand for the material comes from Madhya Pradesh but from past few days we do not have any such demand due to heavy rain fall in MP. The market sentiments are also dull so we are bound to reduce the prices”, said a Wire Rod manufacturer based at Raipur.
