Domestic steel wire rod manufacturers in Raipur, central India increased prices further today by INR 800/t to INR 51,000/t exw. Trade discounts are being offered at INR 500/t. However, owing to limited buying enquiries in the spot market due to higher prices, traders are offering discounts of up to INR 1,000/t. The hike in billet prices is supporting wire rod prices, SteelMint notes.
