India: Wire rod enquiries remain subdued in major markets

Steel wire rod buying enqiruies weakened in key markets of Raipur, Chhattisgarh and Durgapur, West Bengal.

• In Raipur, around 800 t deals were concluded by a few resellers at INR 51,900-52,200/t exw. Manufacturers increased offers by INR 300/t to INR INR 53,000/t exw but no major trade were concluded at higher prices.
• Prices in Durgapur market stood at INR 51,800-52,000/t exw.
