Steel wire rod demand remained subdued today in Raipur, Chhattisgarh despite high trade discounts of INR 2,000/t offered by resellers in the spot market. Offers floated by manufacturers were stable at INR 55,000/t exw. Unclear price trend and weak sentiments have turned buyers cautious and they are avoiding bulk procurement at current prices. Prices in Durgapur market stood at 53,400-53,600/t exw.
