State-owned leading long steel producer, Vizag Steel Plant, has scheduled an e-auction for around 1,550 t of pooled iron on 18 Sept’21. At the steelmaker’s previous auction conducted on 6 Sept, buyers booked 3,500 t at a weighted average price of INR 33,900/t exw. Vizag Steel has crude steel production capacity of 7.3 mn t/year.
