State-owned leading long steel producer, Vizag Steel Plant, has scheduled two e-auctions for around 1,500 t of steel grade pig iron on 4 Sept’21 and 3,500 t of pooled iron on 6 Sept. At the steelmaker’s previous pooled iron auction, conducted on 23 Aug, buyers booked 3,500 t at a weighted average price of INR 34,000/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bids decreased by INR 500/t compared to the previous auction on 12 Aug.
