Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), state owned steel maker under the ministry of steel, has invited a tender for export of 10,000 MT Billets and 12,500 MT Wire Rod. As per the delivery schedule, last date of delivery period shall be 31 Aug’18.
The offer given by the bidder will remain valid until 02 Aug’18.The bidders have the option to quote for shipment either at Visakhapatnam port (VPT) or Ganagavaram port (GPL).For steel products other than WRC the FOB expense of VPT is Rs. 348.79 and for GPL is Rs. 319.44 and for WRC is Rs 305.14 for VPT and Rs 242.94 for GPL.

Indian currency depreciated further yesterday and hit all-time low of 69.05 against USD. This might attract Indian mills for export amid dull domestic demand and declining prices in domestic market.
Global Billet Market Overview – Week 29, 2018
1.CIS billet export offers have softened by USD 5-10/MT W-o-W amid limited inquiries from Egypt and Turkey mills. Present assessment at USD 500/MT, FoB Black Sea.
2.Domestic billet prices in China moved up yesterday. Spot price of 150*150mm, Q235 billet in Tangshan stood at RMB 3,800/MT (including VAT) against previous day close of RMB 3,770/MT (including VAT).
3.Indian domestic billet prices have continued its downtrend owing to seasonal slow down and fall in finish steel prices. Yesterdays assessment stood at INR 31,400-31,500/MT (USD 456-457) (ex-Mumbai, GST extra).
