India: Vedanta’s iron ore sales drop 10% in Q3 FY’22

Vedanta’s iron ore sales during Q3 FY’22 were recorded at 1.6 mn t (1.5 mn t from Karnataka and 0.1 mn t from Goa), down 10% as against 1.78 mn t in Q3 FY’21.
Total production of iron ore in the quarter fell to 1.2 mn t from 1.4 mn t in Q3 FY’21. The entire output was from the company’s Karnataka mines. The drop in production was due to heavy rainfall in Q3 FY’22.
