Vedanta (FACOR) held an auction for ferro chrome today. The bigger lot of 10-150 mm fetched an H1 price of INR 124,500/t ex-Jajpur, Odisha. Increase in Chinese tender prices prompted Indian buyers to procure amidst anticipation of a further rise in domestic offers. Domestic ferro chrome prices are likely to edge up after the Vedanta auction, SteelMint notes.
