Vedanta-FACOR’s auction for ferro chrome today saw aggressive bidding as the H1 price increased by more than 4% above the base price. The bigger lot of 10-150mm fetched an H1 price of INR 108,700/t ex-Jajpur, Odisha. The aggressive bidding was in apprehension of material shortage as Vedanta has decided to shut down its smelter for maintenance next month, sources informed.
