FACOR (Vedanta) held an auction for ferro chrome on 10 May’22. The bigger lot of 10-150mm fetched an H1 price of INR 127,200/t ex-Jajpur, Odisha – more than 3% above the base price of INR 123,700/t. Aggressive bids were received in the auction since buyers expect ferro chrome prices to rise on rising production costs following the allocation of coal via auctions by the Mahanadi Coalfield Limited (MCL), sources said.
