Vedanta Ltd emerged as the highest bidder for the Curpem and Sulcorna iron ore mine block XI in yesterday’s auction at a premium of 84.50%, BigMint learnt from sources. The block, of around 87.65 Ha, is located in Goa and has geological resources of 9.8 mnt. The mine comprises deposits of average-grade fines (Fe 56.17%) and lumps (Fe 56.17%), with the erstwhile lessee being M/s. Sesa Resources Limited.
