India: Vedanta wins bids for nickel in recent auction

The Ministry of Mines, Government of India, invited tenders for some blocks as part of the Tranche II and Tranche III auctions. Vedanta has been declared the “Preferred Bidder” for two significant mining blocks: the Gollarahatti-Mallenahalli nickel chromium and PGE Block, and the Genjana nickel, chromium, and PGE Block. The company secured these blocks with the highest final price offers of 15.00% and 6.05 %, respectively, Notably Vedanta is the only producer of Nickel in India. BigMint notes.
