Vedanta has restarted mining operations at Jamkhani coal block located in Odisha after the same were stalled due to local agitation. The Jamkhani block with a rated capacity of 2.6 mnt/year was secured via competitive bidding to meet fuel demand of the company’s aluminium plant. Notably, mining operations at the project were commenced in December last year.
