Vedanta Resources, a leading domestic pig iron manufacturer in western India, reduced foundry-grade pig iron prices by INR 500/t ($6/t) for Maharashtra-based buyers.
Current offers of the same stand at INR 53,500/t DAP Kolhapur. The reduction in offers by competitors and sufficient availability of substitute products in the market led to a price cut by Vedanta, sources informed SteelMint.
