India: Vedanta Q1 pig iron production drops 39% on year to 109,000 t

Vedanta Limited produced 109,000 t of pig iron in Q1 FY21 – a sharp 26% drop compared to 148,000 t in Q4 FY20, the mining major has reported. Total pig iron production in FY20 was recorded at 681,000 t while Q1 FY20 production stood at 178,000 t – a massive 39% higher compared to Q1 FY21.
