- Vedanta’s Goa plant has received the consent for expansion of its blast furnace capacity by 0.16 mnt/year. After expansion, its total pig iron capacity will increase to 1 mnt/year.
- In addition, it plans to establish a ductile iron pipe plant with proposed capacity of 0.3 mnt/year. Also, the company plans to add up 4 ovens to achieve the existing met coke production of 0.62 mnt/year.
